How to Take a Coffee Break Using the Best Glue Ever

Today's card for ScraPerfect highlights the Best Glue Ever. Since I also used this sketch in my inspiration, I will also be entering it @ The Paper Players.

In gathering my supplies, I used designer series paper from Stampin' Up, clear stamps from STAMPlorations and of course the Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect along with the No Clog Writing Cap.

I used the BGE to adhere everything on my card except for the die cut oval on the card front, which I adhered with foam tape for added dimension.

Coloring was done with watercolor pencils and a blender pen,.

I used diecuts from Itsy Bitsy for the oval on the front and the circle inside. The two sentiments are both digital stamps from LaLaLand.

I did add a tiny bit of the purple water color pencil behind the sentiment to help it pop.

Pulling this card all together went pretty fast since I used coordinating  pattern papers.

That's it for me today...until next time~happy crafting with ScraPerfect!

Hooray for Birthdays!

Today's card is my second design team creation for the February Moodboard Challenge @ Craftin' Desert Divas. I will also be entering it @ Star Stampz for "Make it Girly", @ Cute Card Thursday for "Cute Critters", @ Crafty Catz for "Birthdays" and @ Crazy 4 Challenges for "Add Cake".

The Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink is blended through the Sorted Shapes Stencil 2 on the top half and then I used patterned paper on the bottom half. The raccoon is from the Birthday Surprise digi stamp set and the sentiment is from the Birthday Sentiments digi stamp set. I did the coloring with watercolor pencils and a blender pen.

Inside sentiment is from the Say It Big clear stamp set and the pattern was achieved by spraying the stencil with water after working on the front of the card and pressing it on to the card.

You can see it much better in the first picture up above, but I added Glossy Accents to the party hat and clear Wink of Stella to the icing on the cake and the sentiment banner that I hand trimmed. The wrapped ribbon and bow helps to blend the transition to the patterned paper and the pink sequins from the Pastel Paradise pack were the perfect color accent!

Until next time~

Hang in There

Today's card is the first in a series I made using the new February digital release stamp set from Craftin' Desert Divas call "Mouse House".

I also used the new Sorted Shapes 2 Stencil for the blue frame around the main image. Along with the largest die from the Crazy Stitched Frame Dies for the background layer of patterned paper.

The inside sentiment was printed out from the computer and die cut using a banner shape before watercoloring with some blue to help it stand out from the white A2 sized card. All images were colored using watercolor pencils and a blender pen.

That's it for me today ~ have a great weekend!

My January Paper Pumpkin Valentines

Today's post is all about what I did with the January Paper Pumpkin kit to make my hubby's Valentines this year. Since he was traveling out of state on business over the holiday of love, I made him 2 cards...one for each night that he was away.

I added some die cuts and additional stamping to make them my own, but otherwise pretty much stuck to the basic card as designed and using the supplies from the kit. I really loved all the rosy gold metallic accents in this kit!!

Until next time~

Have a Duckie Birthday

Today's post is doing double duty for my design teams @ both Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and Craftin' Desert Divas

I used the Birthday Surprise digi stamp set and the Simply Said stamp set. The faint plaid watercolor background was done using a print made from the Sorted Shapes 2 Stencil and the dots were also done with that same stencil.

However, the inside sentiment is a retired one from Stampin' Up!

I colored the images with colored pencils and accented the glasses with glitter gel pen and Wink of Stella. The lavender background was dry embossed with an embossing folder and then rubbed with lilac ink. The sequins came from the Pastel Paradise pack.

Until next time~

How to Make a Foxy Planner for February

Today's project with ScraPerfect is my planner spread for next week.

I printed out digi stamps on sticker paper and used patterned paper that's been in my stash for many years.

Of course, the Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap is perfect for any paper project and so I used it to glue down all the paper that I punched and diecut out.

I then colored all the images up with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, accented them with Wink of Stella clear shimmer pen, stamped daily "to-do"s and blended pink ink around the edges.

Turned out pretty cute, eh? Since February is the month to celebrate LOVE, I figured I could get by using that as my theme for another week in my planner!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today's card is the second of two that I designed for the February card making class at the library and it will be entered @ Use Your Stuff for "Love is All Around", @ Unicorn Challenge for "Love/Valentines", @ Try It On Tuesday for "Love is in the Air", @ Stinkin' Inkers for "Love is in the Air", @ Deep Ocean for "Love is All Around" and Die Cuttin' Divas for "Valentine's Day".

This card features a fun and simple Z-fold with patterned papers from my stash and a long ago retired stamp set from Stampin' Up!

The coloring was done with water based markers, faux stitching details done with a black pen and shimmer added with a clear Wink of Stella pen. The inside sentiment was stamped on a scalloped circle die cut from Itsy Bitsy.

Until next time ~ Happy Valentine's Day!

You Are Ribbiting!

Today's adorable card is one of 2 that we will be making at my local library class this week and will be entered @ Creative Knockouts for " Birthday Wishes", @ heARTful Stamping for "Anything Goes + a Stamp" and @ 2 Crafty Critter Crazies for "Anything Goes with a Critter".

The background was super simple and done with ink blending through a stencil. The stamps on the front of the card are from CTMH and colored with pencils. The inside sentiment is retired from TAC.

Using a square punch and a corner rounder punch on only 2 of the sides makes it super easy to make the focal pieces to stamp the frogs on. I also sponged some black ink around the edges to help them pop. The sentiment banner was added with foam tape but everything else is glued down flat to the card front.

Sweet and simple, that's it from me until next time~
